Are you moving to the Whitewater area?

First, check out to discover all the reasons to join the Whitewater community! Then, consider moving to the Historic Starin Park Neighborhood!

Our neighborhood extends from Prairie Street (just east of UW-W campus) east to Fremont Street, and from Main Street on the south to Starin Road on the north. See the map on our Map page.

Whitewater's largest and most beautiful park, Starin Park, forms our northern boundary. Main street, with its easy access to Downtown and Main Street shopping, marks out the southern edge. Whitewater Creek flows just to our east, and the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater campus, with all its intellectual and cultural assets, is just a few steps away to the west.

Fairhaven, one of Wisconsin's premier retirement centers, is included in our boundary, and is located just across the street from the newly renovated Starin Park playground.

Here's why you should chose to live in the Historic Starin Park Neighborhood:

  • Lots of staff who work at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater live in the neighborhood. It's an easy 10-minute walk from our neighborhood to the University.
  • We are R-0 zoned, so houses in the Starin Park Neighborhood are owned by single families, not rented by students.
  • We are a 10-minute walk to downtown, where you can visit restaurants, shops, and bars.
  • The homes are beautiful and full of character.

If you have recently moved in or are thinking of moving into the Historic Starin Park Neighbor-hood and have any questions, please email HSPNA and we would be happy to share more information with you.
